eSOP - S&OP Software

Sales and operations planning is the set of vital communications and decision making processes for developing a company game plan that balances market demand with resource capability. A working Sales and Operations Planning process provides a way to draw out functionally conflicting objectives and resolve them so as to develop a true manufacturing/marketing contract, integrate all functions of the business by developing a "single set of numbers" from which all other plans and schedules can be developed, and provide a forum for evaluating company performance.

Refer to the link under "Education Courses" for information about our tailoring processes.  However, topics in this workshop normally include appropriate selections from the following:

How to develop a single game plan
The Five Step S&OP Process
Typical formats
Time fences
Defining sales and production families, translation methods
Linking the sales and operations plan to the business and financial plan

The DevSOP - integrating new product development planning

Developing a multi-tiered S&OP process
Managing inventory and backlog
Linking the sales and operations plan to detailed sales plans and master schedules

The Partnership Meeting - key to S&OP success

The final S&OP meeting - ensuring executive participation
Improving the forecast
Rough cut capacity planning to validate the sales and operations plan.

Designing S&OP software - key features checklist

Web-enabling your S&OP process

Includes up to 4 hands-on workshops illustrating key concepts in Sales And Operations Planning, and Forecasting/Sales Planning.  Workshops are tailored to use products and data familiar to your people.

Nearly everyone offers a Sales and Operations Planning Workshop.  We guarantee ours to be the most practical - full of how to's, client examples, sample agendas, sample policies, specific advice on how you can implement in the minimum amount of time, and specific techniques for operating most effectively.

Designed for people working in supply chain management, manufacturing and distribution operations, materials planning, data processing and systems, sales and marketing, and virtually anyone involved in designing, implementing, and operating more effective S&OP systems.

Duration: 1 1/2 - 3 days depending on specific group, amount of detail required, and number of hands-on workshops conducted.

Call Chris Gray at 603 778-9211 to discuss fees and how you can schedule a session at your site.
